Q. How does this meter work?
A. The only moving part is a turbine rotor. It has tiny magnets in four of its blades. Inside the “insert”, or turbine rotor support, is a pickup, isolated from the fluid. It detects the small magnetic field passing by and switches. The resulting pulse frequency signal can be used directly (WTP100 sends pulse output to a programmable controller), transmitted to a 4-20 mA device (by the WTP102) or processed into a built-in rate/total indicator (powered, WTP101; battery WTP104).

Q. Can this meter handle hot chemicals?
A. Since this is a plastic meter, it is really only suitable for cold liquids, the same sort of applications as Schedule 80 PVC pipe. The nominal pressure rating must be severely derated for temperatures over 100° F. At elevated temperatures, the WTS stainless model would be more appropriate.
