Mayor Gutierrez's Statement Regarding the Death of Landmark Middle School Student

The following is a statement from Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez, Mayor of Moreno Valley:
On behalf of the City Council, I want to extend my sincere condolences to Diego’s family and friends. No one should have to endure the pain of such a terrible loss.
This is a life-changing tragedy for everyone involved, including the staff and students at Landmark Middle School.
We can only hope that, somehow, out of this tragedy some good can emerge. But today, we are shocked and saddened like the rest of our community.
